Just like most people, I love pizza, but what I don't love about pizza is how calorie and fat packed it is. Eating real pizza every one in a while is part of living a balanced life, but eating it everyday, not so much. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing, unless we use a healthier alternative. This english muffin pizza cuts down significantly on the fat and calories from regular greasy pizza, while still being a good substitute when those pizza cravings hit.
Why an English Muffin? Try to get whole wheat english muffins for a good source of fiber, which will keep you regular, stabilize your blood sugars, and keep you feeling fuller for longer. They also have folate and niacin, two vitamins that are essential for good heart health and niacin helps fight high blood pressure. Folate helps with production of healthy red blood cells and helps metabolize protein. Niacin helps with energy production and contributes to healthy skin.
